Transport Services to Wasie NICU at Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital
Joe DiMaggio Children’s Hospital has a dedicated transport team for quick ground transport of infants who need immediate specialized care. The transport team includes a pediatric and neonatal critical care nurse, respiratory therapist and, if needed, a neonatologist.
Our transport team provides medical care on the way to the hospital and stays in constant communication with the Wasie NICU team to ensure seamless transfer of care upon arrival. A mobile extracorporeal membranous oxygenation (ECMO) unit is available for patients with critical cardiopulmonary conditions.
Air transport services are also available and include a fully equipped Learjet and specially trained in-flight medical team to care for critically ill pediatric patients.
